Whether painting in ink, oils, watercolor, or using mixed media, in all my work, I am a composer, a choreographer. Highly planned as I am in my figurative work or spontaneous in my ink work, the constants in my art explorations are my love of movement, mark-making and light.

I received my BA degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz and my Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. I have continued my art education with classes at UCLA, Cuyamaca College, Grossmont College, the San Diego Community College District, the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library, and workshops with renowned artists. My art affiliations include the Market Street Group (figurative studio and gallery) and the San Diego Fellow Calligraphers. 

My work has been included in numerous local and regional exhibitions and is in private collections in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, and Israel. It has been used as cover art on newspapers, for exhibits, and in calendars. One piece has been archived into the Smithsonian Postal Museum.
